Emergency Throw Line Stations

Earlier this year, we were approached by Leeds City Council  to design a lockable throw line cabinet. Using our 40 years experience supplying and designing Water Safety Equipment we set about sourcing a suitable container and added to it a marine grade stainless clasp and water resistant combination padlock. We also helped with the design of the backing board with the kind  co-operation of the RNLI.

We supplied a number of these to be installed in Leeds City Centre and the great news is that a young woman who fell into the river after a night out was saved by this initiative back in March! Click to see itv news  Hopefully this will be the first of many!  We have now supplied a number of these to different regions of the UK and hope this innovative concept will save many lives.

The stations are primarily designed for areas that suffer from theft and vandalism. The additional benefit is that the backing board clearly indiactes to the caller their exact location to relay to the emergency services thus cutting down response time. We have recently expanded the range by adding a push button lock type similar to that used on Defibrillator cabinets.
